I have had the most incredible opportunity of being in a Choir called "We Also Sing"; It has been the joy of my life in the past 12 weeks to be a part of something wonderful and uplifting and good. My friend Kristi asked me if I would be interested in "having an opportunity to sing"? I asked a few questions and she tells me that it is this choir in Salt Lake directed by Merilee Webb, who I had heard of and actually had worked with briefly years and years ago, anyway, I agreed to go and check it out. I am not the best choir singer but thought it would be fun to be with Kristi. So we go and I kid you not we walk into this chapel and there are more women in one chapel than I have ever seen. I go to the table almost panicked that ther won't be room for me and find that YES there is room for me to be part of one of those things that is totally the right time the right place and the right right right!!! Merilee has said it best describing this choir:
"We are 362 women who come from Ephraim to Logan. Many of us are wives and mothers. Some of us are divorced, widowed, single. We are housewives, employers, employees and students. Some of us are rich and struggling, others are poor and struggling. We laugh, we cry, we try to make a difference. Oh, and... We Also Sing."
I can not explain what this lovely choir has done for my soul, it has opened a part of my heart that hasn't been available for a very very long time. It has reminded me of God given talent that I had buried in fear of rejection or pressure put upon myself of not being able to cut it. It has reminded me that I was born to love others and share my voice. It has erased fears and doubt and has uplifted and filled my soul with the beauty of sisterhood and grace. I have been blessed to work at the music and have been able to feel the success of nailing a lyric or a note. Mostly I have built new relationships from the diversity of the wonderful women who are "We Also Sing". I look forward to having Dad come for the concert which is November 21 in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. It has been a divine opportunity and I am so thankful to quote Merilee again "that it was my turn" to be part of this memorable and historical choir.

Wish you guys would sing again - I love that you got to do this. Can we petition Merilee? You seriously should have the choir perform at BYU Women's Conferece, don't you think? They love Merilee - tell her to make it happen!!!
