January through April in a nutshell

After much pressure from friends in this blogworld I have decided that I better do a quick update. The months of winter dragged on in Happy Valley and I have done my best to enjoy the whirlwind days of work and fun and friends and church and did I mention work?

I spent a lot of time at the athletic events of my work babies. It gives me so much JOY to see their successes.

I attended my first Peter's Family St. Patrick's Day celebratation, danced a jig (knee is fine), kissed the blarney stone and LAUGHED.

I flew home to Colorado to surprise Trina for her 50th Birthday; Bobbi called one night and said that we should do something amazing to celebrate our sister on this monumental birthday. So it worked out that Keith and Bobbi were going to be in Colorado anyway and I flew out and stayed with Stacy for one night and then Michele, Bobbi and Karen picked me up and we drove straight to Trina's who was waiting for her sneaky husband, my brother Todd, who told her they were having a get away! Well we drove up and rang the doorbell and SURPRISE, Chambers family first SISTERS Weekend. She was THRILLED and surprised. We went to lunch, a movie, went to the hotel, hot tubbed, then off to the SALON, straight from the salon to meet the brothers and Jenny had flown in from Cali so she was able to go with us for the remainder of the weekend. Anyway we totally surprised Trina with the boys and Jenny being at dinner. We had a good old fashioned FOODFEST, bites for bites all around. Specialty desserts that have to be ordered when you sit down so they can be prepared. I didn't order a specialty dessert. I did however order the YUMMIEST banana bread pudding with chocolate chips. I will recreate it one day. We had the best time... LOVE LAUGHTER TEARS we knew for sure that this was a PARTY Mom took time to be a part of, you could just feel it. At the end of dinner the orginal 5 of us took some time to discuss the following few days because Dad was having his surgery. We made the game plan of what was going to happen to take care of him. This for me was FAMILY in ACTION... that doesn't do it justice, it was the CHAMBERS in ACTION. This party was an amazing reunion and I look forward to the next gathering.
For the record my sister, as always, was the CHAMPION of it all. She took care of Dad for the entire time of his surgery and recovery and ALWAYS.
